With the growth of ice hockey in the past years, the staff at Union Sports Arena saw a need for another ice rink in our community. The idea for a seasonal outdoor rink was discussed for several years but the perfect location was the missing piece to making it a reality.

 

In January or 2018 the Westfield Hockey Club suggested Gumbert Park in Westfield NJ and soon a marriage was made.

 

With a lot of help from the community and local teams, The Westfield Rink at Gumbert opened for business in November of 2018. With the first season exceeding all expectations, The Westfield Rink is back for another lively season!
